Chongqing is a municipality directly under the central government in southwestern China, one of the four municipalities in China, and the only municipality located inland. It is vast in area, equivalent to Austria. Chongqing is known for its unique geographical environment, spicy cuisine, and mountain city night scenes. It is also a national central city, a connection point of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and an important base for the "Belt and Road" initiative. Chongqing was the wartime capital of the Republic of China during the Anti-Japanese War and separated from Sichuan Province on March 14, 1997, to become a municipality.

Wulong Karst Geological Park (Three Natural Bridges) is located in Fairy Mountain Town, Wulong District, Chongqing. It is a World Natural Heritage site and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. It consists of three majestic natural stone arch bridges: Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge. Between the bridges are two giant karst sinkholes, Tianlong Sinkhole and Shenying Sinkhole, which together form a magnificent natural landscape. The scenic area also has many caves such as Longquan Cave and Xianren Cave, as well as unique landforms such as the Yangshui River Karst Canyon and Longshui Gorge Ground Seam. It was once the filming location for the movies 'Curse of the Golden Flower' and 'Transformers 4', attracting countless tourists with its unique karst landform and rugged natural scenery.

Mount Jinfo, located in Nanchuan District, Chongqing, is the main peak of the Dalou Mountains and an important part of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Mount Jinfo is famous for its unique karst landforms and rich biodiversity. It has typical canyon, stone forest, and cave systems. The vegetation types include subtropical broad-leaved forests, coniferous forests, and subalpine meadows. It is known as a plant gene bank, with 4,768 species of seed plants, and may also contain natural Ginkgo populations. At the same time, it is also a habitat for rare and endangered animals (such as the Sichuan golden monkey). Due to its outstanding karst landforms and rich biodiversity, Mount Jinfo was listed on the World Heritage Tentative List in 2001, and was officially included in the World Heritage List in 2014 as an extension of the "South China Karst" World Heritage Site. Mount Jinfo is a National AAAAA Tourist Attraction, a National Scenic Area, a National Forest Park, a National Nature Reserve, a National Science Education Base, one of China's Most Influential Tourist Attractions, and one of Chongqing's "Twelve New Bayu Sceneries".

The Dazu Rock Carvings are a series of Chinese religious sculptures and carvings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Dazu District, Chongqing, China. The carvings date back to the 7th century AD and depict and are influenced by Buddhist, Confucian, and Taoist beliefs. Some of them are cave grottoes in the traditional Chinese Buddhist style, but many others are reliefs carved directly into open rock faces. The Dazu Rock Carvings were listed as a World Heritage Site in 1999 and consist of 75 protected sites containing approximately 50,000 statues and over 100,000 Chinese character inscriptions and epigraphs. These sites are scattered across the rugged hillsides of Dazu District, Chongqing, about 165 kilometers from downtown Chongqing. The highlights of the grottoes are mainly concentrated in Baoding Mountain and Beishan Mountain.
